Recent data released in the latest Market Report Portugal shows that foreign buyers made up 40 percent of luxury property transactions in the Portuguese parishes of Comporta and Melides, further showcasing Portugal’s booming real estate market

Both Comporta and Melides, located on the southwest side of Portugal, along the Alentejo Coast, are becoming highly sought after for their luxury properties – and it is no mystery why.

According to the Market Report, housing prices in the Comporta and Melides region recorded an annual variation in the average price of 28.57 percent compared to 2023, reaching a value of €9,000 per square meter.

While these properties are pricier than the average you’ll pay in Portugal, considering the high-end nature of these luxury properties, situated in these sought-after areas, the prices generally are still more affordable than equivalent properties in Western Europe.
